Knight Life

Kitana Ford
I am beginning my fourth year in the journalism program, and my first year as a Copy Editor. One of my passions is writing features on specific people or events and editorials. My strengths include finding different perspectives to write from for my articles. The most essential part of being in journalism, is the ability to step outside of your comfort zone. The most rewarding part of being in the journalism program has been the opportunities to discover new things, elements and people. Outside of journalism, I spend nearly all of my time doing homework. I am enrolled in Honors, Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment classes as well as online classes. All of which is to ensure that I graduate with all of my credits and can be eligible for scholarships. My ultimate goal is to get my bachelors, masters and doctorate in nursing, in order to become a trauma nurse practitioner.
