Reyna Arellanes
Nice to meet you, I’m Reyna Arellanes, a sophomore, and it’s my first year in Journalism. I’ve always had a thing for writing and I’m glad that this class has given me the opportunity to not only write about interesting topics, but to also speak strongly on them. I used to be a very shy person, but this class has broken me out of that. Since the Print and Broadcast classes are married this year, I have to constantly talk to people when interviewing them and occasionally I will be seen on the Royal Report so there is no time for shyness! In this class I am a reporter, which includes researching and writing about topics as well as interviewing people. When I work on the broadcast side I basically do the same thing but in video form. Sometimes we’ll do PSAs to show people what to do and what not to do. Other times, we’ll do spotlights which requires an interview of the people in that club or sport. I’m extremely thankful that I am in this class because I LOVE to write and everyone in this class is amazing, making it really feel like a family.
