Knight Life

“All good things must come to an end.” Sadly, as a senior, this statement will prove to be true next May. Over the past four years as an Intro baby, Proofreader, Website Manager and now Copy Editor, Journalism has taught me a plethora of skills such as AP style rules, how to make a post on a website, the importance of transition words—the list goes on. Although useful, these skills are not the ones I am most grateful to have learned. In life, the most useful skills are often the ones that you can’t be graded on. I’ve learned how to communicate, how to manage my time and, most importantly, how to step outside my admittedly tiny little comfort zone. As I move onto the next stage of my life, I will miss editing articles, making quizzes, going to JEA, having deep conversations in the back room and most of all: my fellow Journies, whom I will never forget.
